Need some ideas?  Here’s a recent group trip plan:

Road & Rail Tour

An 8-day trip for 4 people.

This group of four ladies had airline points, and decided they wanted to use them on a “girls trip” to explore as much of Scotland as possible.

This “Rail & Road” tour with our local partner had three heritage steam train journeys. They explored the Cairngorms National Park, Speyside, Inverness, the Isle of Skye and Glencoe – all woven in between a 6-day private tour with a knowledgable local driver guide.

This trip plan included:

  • Driver guide Glasgow Airport pick up upon arrival
  • Free time on the banks of Loch Lomond and in the village of Luss
  • A drive through the breathtaking Glencoe with photo stops along the way
  • The First Class Jacobite steam train journey to Mallaig
  • Ferry to the Isle of Skye with hike to the Old Man of Storr
  • Dunvegan Castle and Seal Boat Trips
  • Neist Point Lighthouse

  • Afternoon Tea on a Steam Train at the Bo’ness & Kinneil Railway
  • Drop off in Edinburgh for two free days of exploring on their own
